Robert Kraft is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of The Kraft Group, an American corporate conglomerate. He owns multiple sports teams, notably the New England Patriots of the National Football League and the New England Revolution of Major League Soccer. In 1994, he made news when he bought the Patriots, who had won just 19 games in the preceding five seasons, leading many to wonder if the astute businessman had made a major blunder. The Patriots, on the other hand, have rebounded to become one of the most successful teams in NFL history, demonstrating once again how wise Kraft's financial decisions have been. He finally established the Kraft Group as a holding company to manage his various business interests. He is also a well-known philanthropist, having donated more than $100 million to a number of charitable organisations.
