English striker who has played for clubs such as Oldham Athletic, Chesterfield, and Botlon Wanderers, winning the Football League Two championship with Chesterfield in 2011. For the 2010-11 season, he was named to the Football League Two PFA Team of the Year.

Before making his debut with Manchester City's first squad in 2003, he played youth soccer for Shrewsbury Town and Manchester City.
He became just the third player to score a hat trick for Wales at the Under-21 level. He was called up to the senior squad immediately thereafter.
