Craig Arnold was born on November 16, 1967 (age 41) in Wyoming, United States. He is a celebrity poet.
Shells, his debut poetry collection from 1999, is recalled among American poets. In 2008, he released Made Flesh, his second collection of poems.
He had a relationship with fellow poet Rebecca Lindenberg. Lindenberg's 2012 poetry collection, Love, an Index, deals with their relationship and with Arnold's disappearance.
He went to Yale University and the University of Utah for his education, and then went on to teach literature at the University of Wyoming.
He disappeared in 2009 while hiking near a Japanese volcano.
He received the Amy Lowell Poetry Travelling Scholarship, as well as two National Endowment for the Arts Creative Writing Fellowships.
