Most famous for her soap opera roles as Hope Adams and Annie Dutton on, respectively, The Young and the Restless and Guiding Light, Coleman is also known for producing and starring in the short-lived SFN series River Ridge.
She and her siblings Tiffany, Bethany, and Jeffrey were raised primarily in Bolinas, California. Each of her two brief marriages -- to fellow soap opera actor Vincent Irizarry and to Thomas Nolan -- resulted in one daughter.
Before playing Hope on The Young and the Restless, she appeared for one season as Celeste DiNapoli on NBC's Santa Barbara.
During the late 1990s, she acted in two episodes of the popular Fox series The X-Files.
