A breast cancer survivor, she took the viewers of her program through her mammography process, with the aim to spread awareness about the disease that is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in American women after skin cancer. Amy started her broadcasting career as a general assignment reporter at WCBD-TV. After working at WTTG-TV for four years, she moved to NBC News, where she worked for nine years.
